• OUR STORY

In 2016, the lacrosse community in Boston came together to form Boston Lacrosse Cares (BLC) in support of the Boston Cannons' Foundation. Led by former college players Mike Jezienicki and Ryan Hurd, BLC’s vision is to galvanize business leaders in Boston that consist of former college and club lacrosse players to raise funding and awareness for inspiring and impactful causes.

During the inaugural year, we partnered with the Boston Cannons to host the first Boston Lacrosse Cares Shootout at Harvard University prior to the Cannons’ game that evening. The first game featured 30 players, raised over $6,000 for the Cannons Fighting Cancer initiative. In 2017, the event grew substantially, raising $29,956 in support of Boston Children’s Hospital.

For 2018, BLC plans to donate all event proceeds to Harlem Lacrosse.
